Liberty Phosphate to expand capacity to 924000 MT

Liberty Phosphate Ltd, the largest producer and supplier of Single Super Phosphate (Powder & Granulated) plans to boost its production capacity from 562000 MTPA to 924000 MTPA. Currently, the unit at Udaipur in Rajasthan is operating at existing capacity of 264000 MTPA of SSP/GSSP. The company recently completed capacity expansion at its Nandesari unit in Gujarat from existing 100000 MTPA to 198000 MTPA.

The company has applied for capacity expansion at its unit in Kota in Rajasthan from 132000 MTPA to 198000 MTPA of SSP/GSSP. Environment Clearance is under process and is expected to be completed by May 2012. Besides, the company plans to expand capacity at its Pali unit in Maharashtra from 66000 MTPA to 132000 MTPA and to install SSP plant of 132000 MTPA capacity at its Rae Bareilly unit at Uttar Pradesh.
