The Gujarat Co-operative Milk Marketing Federation Ltd (GCMMF), makers of Amul brand dairy products, is investing Rs 3,000 crore over the next four years to set up nine new plants besides carrying out capacity expansion at its existing plants. Amul currently has 14.5 million litres per day capacity which will be ramped up to 18 million litres per day after the expansion. The cooperative plans to touch Rs 30,000-crore turnover by 2020.
