The construction division of Larsen &
Toubro Ltd has secured new orders
totalling Rs 1,500 crore for constructing
hospitals, residential towers and factory
buildings.
The company won two orders from HLL
Lifecare Ltd, a Government of India
undertaking, for building hospitals at a
contract value of Rs 627 crore.
The first order is for Jawaharlal Institute
of Post-graduate Medical Education
and Research, Puducherry, and
involves turnkey construction of a 400-
bed women and children hospital,
including a hostel complex, teaching
block and augmentation of existing
facilities. The second order is for the
construction of an ESIC medical college
and hospital at Paripally in Kollam district
of Kerala.
In the residential segment, L&T bagged
a Rs 342-crore contract from Mumbai
based Shree Ahuja Properties & Realtors
Pvt. Ltd for the proposed Ahuja Towers at
Prabhadevi in central Mumbai, and a Rs
321-crore contract from Lucknow Development
Authority for construction for residential
towers.
Further orders worth Rs 210 crore were
secured from various clients for the construction
of an automobile factory at
Manesar, Haryana, including add-on
works at Bhiwadi.
