The first public super speciality
hospital in
Mumbai will be set up
on the premises of the staterun
44-acre JJ Hospital
campus at Byculla in central
Mumbai at an estimated
cost of

690 crore.
The hospital project will be
a 20-storey tower with more
than 800 beds and is expected
to meet all health requirements,
especially of the economically
weaker sections.
The hospital building will
cost around

376 crore to
build and acquisition of
sophisticated medical
equipment and other facilities
will cost another

150
crore. This project will be
constructed in phase-I.
In phase-II, construction of
hostel and residential staff
quarters will be taken up at a
cost

103 crore. Besides,

19 crore has been
approved for recurring
expenses on technical staff
manning the equipment.
