Yashoda Medicare, a group promoted by a team of Indian & foreign doctors, has launched a 240-bed hospital at Marathhalli in eastern Bangalore, Karnataka. The multi-specialty tertiary care facility set up at a cost of Rs 100 crore, would also function as the group's national hub.
Over the next three years, Yashoda Medicare plans to set up 18 hospitals in 15 cities with an estimated investment of Rs 3600 crore. A second hospital is proposed at Bangalore & another one at Ranchi, Jharkhand by the June 2011. The funds for the projects would be raised through bank loans and equity from the promoters. The group was yet to decide other means of equity-linked funds.
The group has also tied up with Acura Kliniken of Germany, to start a few co-branded hospitals there.
