VISA Urban Infra, a part of VISA Group, is investing Rs 350 crore to set up a hotel and convention centre at Naya Raipur, Chhattisgarh. The project would be developed in phases and the entire project will be ready by early 2016. The hotel will have office towers, hotels and a convention centre. In the first phase, a 200-room hotel besides a convention center to seat 1500 delegates would be set up at a cost of Rs 250 crore. The company is in talks with various hotel chains for providing the expertise for the project. Bentel Associates of South African has been appointed as the Principal Architect of the project. Currently, area grading work has started and demarcation of the boundary wall is underway.
VISA Urban Infra is part of the Rs 5,000 crore VISA Group engaged in minerals, metals and energy conglomerate with business interests in steel, power, international trading, shipping, mining and real estate.
