Cummins India Ltd plans to invest up to Rs 750 crore over the next two years
to expand capacity at their plant at Phaltan in Satara district of
Maharashtra. The company plans to set up at least six manufacturing
facilities to manufacture a range of products including automotive & high
horesepower engines and also set up an engine rebuilding centre.The
expansion projects would be funded through internal accruals.
Cummins India, which manufactures diesel and gas engines of various sizes to
cater to the power, industrial and automotive market, also plans setting up
a facility for power generation equipment mainly for export.
