Ltd, a leading Mumbaibased
shipping company,
has planned to set up a Rs 500-
crore facility for manufacturing
ZRC, a cold galvanising
corrosion protective product,
at Bhiwandi in Thane district
of Maharashtra.
"Within the next three years,
this manufacturing
facility will be
operational. A 25-acre plot has
already been acquired at
Bhiwandi. The initial investment
for setting up this new facility
will be around Rs 500 crore,"

Pvt. Ltd, told Projectmonitor. The
entire investment will be met
through internal sources.
The proposed facility will have
a production capacity of 2,000
gallons per month, he said.
The company recently launched
ZRC in India and predicts that the
product will do around Rs 200
crore worth of business in the first
year itself. The company's
strategy is to get the product
accepted in the Indian market
and then manufacture it here. For
the moment, the company will
import the product, Chopra said.
Some companies like Larsen &
Toubro and Mumbai
Metropolitan region
Development Authority have
already accepted this product.
Delhi Metro Rail
Corporation is already
undertaking trials for this
product, he added.
ZRC is a leading cold
galvanising compound, in the
paintable galvanic zinc coating
technology. It has has been
used successfully for over 50
years in major projects around
the world.
