Hindustan Construction Company
Ltd has been awarded a
project by Hindalco Industries Ltd
for potline structural steel fabrication
work for its greenfield smelter
at Sambalpur in Orissa. The total
project cost is Rs 126.23 crore and
it will be completed in 16 months.
The scope of the project involves
fabrication and supply of bolted/
welded structural steel works,
including built-up sections made
out of plates, rolled sections as per
EIL specifications for potline,
CSS, PTM, and equipment maintenance
shop on project site basis
of 17,000 tonnes. This work needs
high precision quality to maintain
very low tolerance limit as per the
desired specifications.
