PEBS Pennar, the subsidiary of Pennar Industries has planned expansion of its facility in Medak district near Hyderabad for manufacturing world class 'green' pre-engineered buildings. The Phase-I of the facility was commissioned in February, 2010. The work on the second phase is underway and will be implemented at a cost of Rs 105 crore to increase capacity from 30,000 to 50,000 tonnes per annum. The company sources technical know-how from NCI Group and is introducing the revolutionary weather tight roofing system.

For engineered products, Pennar plans to increase capacity utilisation at its new rotary compressor housing manufacturing line at Isnapur near Hyderabad from the current level of seven lakh units annually. In the infrastructure business, there are plans to enhance product tonnage for electrostatic precipitator electrodes through 90 per cent capacity utilisation.
