India has finally lifted the ban on
FDI from Pakistan. FDI here
means Foreign Direct Investment
and not Foe Digging into India!
Sceptics call the move as one beggar,
begging another.
But some right-winged economists
argue that whatever Pakistan
is going to invest in India cannot be
termed FDI as the money will come
in the form of Indian currencies
which they have been printing all
these years in Pakistan. So the permission
will only give a legal window
for illegal money, they argue.
Whether the Indian government
opens up the domestic retail sector
for foreign investment or not, this
move may give a big boost to retail
terrorist outlets in the country.
