The Raman Singh government in Chhattisgarh will hold its maiden International Investors' Meet titled “Rajyotsav” on the occasion of the state's 12th formation day beginning from November 2 ,2012.
A high level committee headed by Commerce and Industries Minister Rajesh Munat, is given the charge to conduct the event.
On this occasion, the state plans to invite the global investors to showcase huge investment potential in infrastructure, agro and food processing, automobile and biotech sectors too, on the lines of Bengaluru and Ahmedabad investors meet, said Project Head of Chhattisgarh State Industrial and Technical Consultancy Centre, P K Nimonkar.
The State Government has fixed a budget of Rs 10 crore for the two-day event to be held on Nov 2 and 3, 2012 , in trade center in new Raipur.
It may be noted that the Chhattisgarh state is implementing the construction of rail corridor in the state, which will be done through SPV route ( wholly government-owned). The project involves construction of 180 km eastern corridor and 122 km east-west corridor in the state under the Rail Corridor project. The major stakeholders in the SPV are Railway Board (26 %), Chhattisgarh State Government (10%) and the rest by South Eastern Coalfields Limited. The rail corridor is one of the biggest investment in the state in 2012 which is likely to draw huge attention of the global investors, said the official.
