McNally Bharat Engineering Company Ltd has received an order from
West Bengal Power Development Corporation Ltd for erection, services and
supply of equipment and materials for the coal handling plant (SGCHP2) of
Sagardighi Thermal Power Extension Project, Phase-II, Units 3&4 (2x500
MW). The turnkey package is estimated at

298 crore.
Tata Realty and Infrastructure Ltd has entrusted Leighton
Welspun Contractors
Pvt. Ltd a new project under the alliance model, to develop five residential
towers on prime real estate in Kochi, Kerala. Work on the project, valued
at

286 crore, is due to be completed in 2014. The company, in a major
alliance with Leighton, had recently completed Ramanujan IT park project.
Zuari Holdings Ltd has selected Uhde India Pvt. Ltd, a subsidiary of
ThyssenKrupp Group, to render engineering services for the capacity
augmentation revamp of its NPK-A plant in Goa. The scope includes
detailed engineering, procurement, inspection and expediting, project
management and planning, construction supervision and commissioning
assistance services. Incro of Spain, whose state-of-the-art pipe reactor
technology to be deployed in the plant, has prepared the basic engineering
package. The project is due for completion in the second half of 2013.
Alstom Projects India Ltd, in consortium with Alstom Transport SA, France,
has been awarded a contract for signalling and train control system for Jaipur
Metro. The value of APIL's scope is

57.46 crore (€8.37 million). The company,
along with PES Engineers Ltd, has also been awarded a contract worth
around €18 million (

115 crore approximately) by Uttarakhand Jal Vidyut
Nigam Ltd for its 41.4-MW Khatima hydropower project in the state. Out of the
entire contract, Alstom's scope would be over €11 million (

70.40 crore).
JKM Infra Projects Ltd, a 51:49 joint venture with KNR Constructions Ltd,
has been awarded an order worth

180.40 crore by the Arunachal Pradesh
government for two laning of Gobul-Mariyang-Sihjon Nallah in the state under
the SARDP-NE Arunachal Pradesh Package. The project is expected to be
completed in 36 months.
