The WPI of MS/SS ingots dropped 39% during the week ended October 3 after remaining steady in the 1st nine months of 2009. Forging (27%), lead ingots (2%), zinc ingots, other iron steel and cement (1% each) were other investment goods whose prices fell over the week. The WPI of enameled copper wires (11%), MS bars/rounds (3%) and steel ingots and mono block pumps (1% each) moved up. The ERIL Index of Cost of Project Inputs declined marginally to 209.05 during the week.
