After its numerous prayers to the
central government for drought
relief falling on deaf ears, the Karnataka
government is now seeking
divine intervention to bring rains
and save the state and its crop from
dry spell. The state government
has released
5,000 to each of the
35,000 temples to conduct special
prayers to please the rain gods.
The height of corruption seems to
have reached its peak - even the
gods are not spared from bribes!
