Tilaknagar Inds plans new distillery unit in AP

Tilaknagar Industries plans to set up a distillery unit in Andhra Pradesh. The plant with a one lakh litres per day with be set up with an investment of Rs 150 crore. Besides, the company also plans to increase the capacity of its existing unit at Rajahmundry. The application for capacity expansion at Rajahmundry is pending with the state government. The company has sought to increase the capacity of the plant to four lakh cases per month against 50,000 at present.

Mansion House, the mother brand of the company generated gross revenues of Rs 865 crore for the company and sold over 5.8 million cases this year. The company has targeted to capture 10 per cent of market share in Andhra Pradesh for Mansion House. The current market size of this category is estimated at around 1.2 million cases per annum in the state.
