Flamingo Pharmaceuticals Ltd, mainly an export oriented company with presence in acute therapies such as Antibiotics and Antipyretic, is setting up a state-of-the-art plant at the SEZ in Nanded, Maharashtra, based on USFDA/UKMHRA specifications. The project is estimated to cost Rs 144.84 crore and the company has already tied up debt funds required for the project. The project is expected to be complete by the end of this financial year.
Presently, FPL has two manufacturing facilities, set up as 100% EOU (Export Oriented Units) located at Rabale and Taloja, both in Maharashtra. FPL’s Rabale plant, which is WHO-GMP and ISO:9000 certified, manufactures tablets, capsules, dry syrups and dry injectibles. Further, its Taloja plant which has UKMHRA and WHOGMP approval, manufactures tablets and capsules.
