ABC India Ltd, a Kolkata-based logistics
company, has secured major orders
totalling Rs.114 crore for infrastructure and
industrial projects. The new orders are:
- Multimodal (road, rail and coastal) logistics
of over dimensional consignments
for a gas-based thermal power plant from
various BHEL units, to Tripura.
- Logistics and road transportation of
equipment for a coal-based power plant
imported by a Chinese EPC contractor, to
be delivered to Chhattisgarh.
- Logistics and road transportation of
imported equipment for a new cement
plant in Meghalaya.
- Route surveys and consultancy for multimodal
logistics solutions for equipment
for upcoming hydropower plants with a
combined capacity of 4,500 mw.
Besides, the company is executing contracts
for Alstom Projects India Ltd hydel
equipment for NHPC's 2,000-mw Subansiri
project in Arunachal Pradesh) and for BEML
Ltd ( metro coaches for Delhi Metro).
ABC India's total order book in project
logistics currently stands at Rs.165 crore. The
company is providing logistics services to
new power plants representing 7,000 mw
of generation capacity as well as to various
petrochemical, cement and paper plants.
