Agri Gold Projects which is setting up 480 MW (2X155 MW and
2X85 MW) gas-based combined cycle power plant (CCPP) at Ramana Gudem in Krishna district in AP, has completed the process of
acquiring 140 acres of land for the project. The company is aiming to complete
the project in 2014-15. The project comprises two gas turbines of 155 MW
capacity each and two steam turbines of 85 MW capacity each.
The proposed plant is likely to get gas from Gail’s pipeline
which is passing through at a distance of 20 km from project site. Power
generated is to be evacuated by Power Grid Corporation and PPA has been singed
with Tata Power Trading Company Limited. However, order for main plant has not
yet been placed. This is likely to happen by the end of this calendar year.
