KEC bags 400kV transmission orders

KEC International Ltd, Mumbai, has secured two orders worth Rs371 crore for supply and construction of 400kV double circuit transmission lines in Gujarat and West Bengal.

PGCIL has placed a Rs258-crore order for a 260-km long transmission line from Bhachau (Kutch district) to Essar thermal power station in Gujarat while Haldia Energy Ltd, a subsidiary of CESC Ltd, has awarded a Rs113-crore order river crossing transmission line between Haldia thermal power plant and Subash Gram, crossing the Ganga at Kolkata. The two projects are to be completed within 26 months and 18 months, respectively.
