Suzlon Energy Ltd has received an order from
Larsen and Toubro Infrastructure Development
Projects Ltd, a subsidiary of Larsen &
Toubro Ltd, for setting up a 8.7-mw wind
energy project in Tamil Nadu.
The project, consisting of three units of Suzlon's
S82-1.5-mw turbines and two units of S88-2.1-mw
generators, is scheduled to be commissioned by
the end of next month. Suzlon will also operate
and maintain the project.
The power generated from this project will be
wheeled for captive use at L&T facilities in the state.

concept to commissioning of wind projects helping
clients achieve energy security and mitigate
carbon emissions which would lead to a sustainable
business model," I.C. Mangal, President,
Suzlon Energy Ltd, said.
It may be noted that the Sankaneri wind park
in Tamil Nadu set up by Suzlon is the largest
such facility in the country with more than 700
mw already installed and further development
under way.
