Challenged by the diversities in field welding conditions, the Sun-Ultra institute research team has developed coatings for stick electrodes to overcome problems posed by limitations of available welding equipment, skill level, heat in put, unknown base metal, contamination etc.

We have incorporated additives such as deoxidizes, degassifiers, neucleants etc., into the coating formulation to provide highest weld-ability, in terms of tensile strength, bead shape, fluidity of slag weld penetration etc.

Low-heat input: Laboratory and field tests on a wide variety of arc welding electrodes conducted by our scientists have revealed that various properties of the weld deposit can be modified or controlled by use of lower or higher amperage values in the range of recommended currents.
