One of the first companies to have ventured into the concrete equipment business in India, Schwing Stetter India is a 100 per cent subsidiary of Schwing GmbH, a 75- year old, €850-million concreting equipment manufacturer with its headquarters in Herne, Germany.

Schwing Group has 12 manufacturing units worldwide and is present in over 145 countries. Schwing Stetter India was registered in June 1998 and began operations in 1999. In 2001, Schwing Stetter India set up its own manufacturing facility at Sriperumbudur in Chennai, followed by the second facility in 2004, exclusively to manufacture truck mixers. In December 2006, the company inaugurated its third facility for concrete batching plants.

Schwing Stetter India has always been a frontrunner in extending utmost support to India's infrastructure sector. The company manufactures the entire range of concreting equipment like batching plants for concrete preparation, transit mixers for concrete transportation, concrete pumps for concrete placement, shotcreting plants and recycling plants for recycling of concrete.

Some of SSPIL's salient products are:

•  Stetter Batching Plants, ranging from 18 to 240 M3/hr capacity, including M2 mobile batching plant with 94 M3/hr capacity for concrete preparation

• Stetter Transit Mixers with 4M3, 6M3, 8M3 & 10M3 capacities for concrete transportation

• Schwing Concrete Pumps (trailer, line and truck mounted) ranging from 30M3 to 120M3 for placing the concrete. We also have the SP 1400, the fourth category of pumps to join Schwing Stetter's range of concrete pumps in India

• Specialised equipment (a shotcreting machine will be extremely useful for hydropower and tunnel projects), concrete recycling plants (which work to recycle waste concrete from project sites), and the F12 belt conveyor (a useful addition to a truck mixer, which can be attached to any Schwing Stetter truck mixer).

Schwing Stetter developed and implemented an innovative concrete recycling plant in 1976. Right from inception, these recycling plants have proved to be extremely reliable, highly wear-resistant and economical. Constant product innovation has helped this product range from Schwing Stetter to evolve into an exceptionally strong product. Schwing Stetter now offers the recycling plant in two different sizes-from 12 cubic metres per hour to a maximum of 20 cubic metres per hour of concrete recycling.
