The Jammu & Kashmir government
has asked Vollacha
company to expedite the
pace of work on Hyderpora flyover
in Srinagar city. Reviewing
the work on the flyover and other
bridge projects in Kashmir Valley,
J&K Minister for Roads & Bridges
G.M. Saroori directed project
engineers and executing agencies
to complete all the projects
within the stipulated timeframe.
The minister said that Rs 45
crore had been incurred on the
construction of Hyderpora flyover
and Lasjjan, Padshai Bagh, Chanpora
and Tengpora bridges out of
the total approved project cost of
Rs 63 crore.
The work of widening the
Pathankot-Jammu-Srinagar
national highway would commence
by May this year. The
tendering process for the first
three phases—Pathankot-
Jammu, Jammu-Nagrota and
Nagrota-Udhampur—would be
completed this month. About 80
per cent of land for this project
has been acquired.
Besides, the 4-km Buchpora-
Hazratbal road (Rs 23 crore) and
widening of Dalgate-Budshah
bridge were also discussed.
