Racold Thermo plans expansion

Pune-based Racold Thermo Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of Ariston Thermo
Spa of Italy, plans to augment capacity at its plant at Chakan, near Pune in
Maharashtra. The company has planned an additional investment of Rs 10 crore
in the next 18 months to augment capacity from current 4 lakh to 6 lakh
water heaters per annum.
Racold has recently launched electronics water heater 'Primo' with Super
Polymer High Performance technology (SPHP). The new range of intelligent
water heaters are available in 15 and 25-litre modules & are equipped with a
timer which can be set in advance to ensure that the water of the required
temperature will be ready-for-use at the chosen time.
The company also plans to foray into the renewable energy sector through
solar water heaters and systems.
