England cricket players Matt Prior and Stuart Broad were involved in a dramatic late night rescue of a British preparing to jump off a bridge (and commit suicide) near the team hotel in Sydney, last week. Why the British wanted to commit suicide is not yet clear. Maybe, the British decided to take this extreme step after seeing the English whitewashed in the recently concluded Ashes series. Also, it was not clear what Prior and Broad were doing near suicide point so late in the night. Was the Ashes series debacle in back of their minds too?

Final consolation is that, at last, there was something good for Englishmen to remember on this tour of Ashes!
