Mumbai-based Express Global Logistics Pvt. Ltd (formerly known as Express Transport), recently arranged for the safe and timely loading of 284 MT x 2 cable reels on M.V. Carolina from Hartlepool Port, UK, to Mina Zayed Port, Abu Dhabi, UAE.

Express Global Logistics_ProjectsMonitorThe vessel stowed a 1,065 CBM on board both in the hatch and under deck. The reels weighted up to 284 MT each and measurements of up to 9.38×5.91×9.20 metres. They were destined for a three wellhead platform project in Abu Dhabi.

Considering the urgency of the shipment, a senior member of the EXG project team visited the UK to ensure the completion of the shipment. “The challenge was to arrange gearless vessel matching cargo laycan at Hartlepool. Another challenge was to load the cargo during very cold and windy weather. However, due to excellent loading, stowing, sea fastening and planning the cargo loading process, the operation was completed well in time (six hours) at the load port of UK,” a company spokesperson said.
