Henkel Adhesive Technologies India (HATI), a subsidiary of Henkel AG & Co. KGaA, Germany, has set up an innovation centre at Pune which is incidentally its first such centre in the country. However, HATI has not disclosed the amount of investment which gone into this centre. The centre, spread across 27,000 square feet area, is equipped with customer component testing facilities, dispensing systems, application training, product development and engineering facilities which will provide customers comprehensive adhesive solutions.

Henkel India Inagration_ProjectsMonitorHATI has designed its Pune centre to make it a one stop solution provider to Henkel’s strong customer base in the region. The centre will cater to customers across the automotive and transport sector in South Asia, Middle East and Africa.

Speaking on the occasion of the inauguration of the centre, Jeremy Hunter, President, Henkel India said “By 2016, Henkel expects to grow sales to 20 billion Euros, of which 10 billion Euros is expected from emerging markets like India”. At present 45% of Henkel’s revenue comes from emerging markets.
