KEC International Ltd, the global infrastructure EPC company and part of RPG Group, has secured new orders of Rs. 1,029 crore in its transmission and distribution, cables and renewables businesses. The details are as follows:

T&D: In this business, the company won orders in India, Zambia and the Americas amounting to Rs. 746 crore.

* In India, KEC bagged a Rs. 207 crore order from PGCIL for the supply and erection of 220kV & 66kV transmission line in Jammu & Kashmir, and two orders for replacement of existing conductor totalling Rs. 30 crore.

* The company won a Rs. 253-crore turnkey order from ZESCO Ltd for 330kV & 220kV transmission lines in Zambia.

* In the Americas, SAE Towers, the wholly owned subsidiary of KEC, secured orders for the supply of lattice towers, monopoles, hardware and EPC works from the US, Brazil and Mexico. The total value of these orders is Rs. 222 crore which includes EPC contracts for transmission lines of Rs. 115 crore in Brazil.

In addition, the company also bagged small orders totalling Rs. 34 crore

Cables: Here, KEC secured orders for the supply of power and telecom cables valued at Rs. 273 crore.

Renewables : In this business, the company won its first turnkey order in solar space. The Rs. 10-crore order includes design, supply, installation, testing and commissioning of a solar PV power plant.
