MCGM floats tenders for rejuvenation of riversThe Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai (MCGM) has floated tenders for rejuvenation of rivers in Mumbai Suburban on design, build and operate (DBO) basis.

The scope of work involves following: Rejuvenation of Oshiwara /Walbhat river by designing, providing, constructing and commissioning modernised and fully automated package/ modular sewage treatment plant along Oshiwara/Walbhat river along with 15 years of operation and maintenance and providing and laying of sewer network, provision of interceptors for diversion of DWF, construction of service road and road side drains and construction of retaining walls on the banks of the river. The work will be completed at a cost of Rs 503.42 crore.

Designing, providing, constructing and commissioning modernized and fully automated package/ modular sewage treatment plant along Poisar river along with 15 years of operation and maintenance and providing and laying of sewer network, provision of interceptors for diversion of DWF, construction of service road and road side drains on either banks of Poisar river at a cost of Rs 751.69 crore.

The works will be completed in a period of 36 months.
