NEEPCO which is presently focusing on hydro power projects in the North East region of the country is planning to spread its wings geographically and the company has chosen the joint venture route to achieve that goal. Accordingly, NEEPCO has invited Expression of Interest (EOI) from experienced and reputed Private Sector Entity or Joint Venture/ Consortium of Public/Private Sector Entities for implementation of Hydro Power Projects in Joint Venture with the installed capacity of 25 MW.

Kopili Hydro_Neepco_ProjectsMonitorNEEPCO with its corporate office at Shillong, Meghalaya has already executed five hydro electric power projects and two gas based power projects with a total installed capacity of 1130 MW.

Bidders shall be short listed based on the techno-commercial credentials etc., as stipulated in the Detail EOI Document for Joint Venture. The short listing period shall initially be for six months from the date of short listing, which may be extended for a further period from time to time to be decided mutually by NEEPCO and the short listed Entities/Bidders. Once the process of short listing is completed, the Corporation shall invite short listed bidders for submission of Memorandum of Understanding (MOU)/Shareholder’s Agreement (SHA) for finalization of Joint Venture with NEEPCO under terms and conditions to be defined in the MOU/SHA document.
