Cornered both by Aam Aadmi Party and BJP, Congress is trying to reinvent itself. So it has come out with some revolutionary ideas which are visible in its manifesto:
- Free cutting chai daily for every member of the family from below poverty line. But the price of a full cup of tea will be doubled for other people.
- Diesel price will be reduced by 25 paise every fortnight (and will be raised by 50 paise every month)
- Number of subsidised domestic gas cylinders will be restricted to six per month. However, six months prior to general elections or state elections, this quota will be doubled.
- Every member of the family of a leader, who is convicted on charges of corruption, will be provided free food and shelter till the leader remains in jail.
