Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J. Jayalalithaa recently decided to skip the chief ministers’ conference on internal security organised by the Centre in New Delhi saying that the 10 minutes time allotted for each chief minister was too less considering the significance of the topic.
Travel from Chennai to Delhi just to speak 10 minutes? But the government says time was allotted based on the benchmark set by the Prime Minister who has never spoken more than a few seconds during last nine years on internal security! One suggestion was made which says time should be allotted to each chief minister according to his or her weight!
By weight we mean weight of the person in national politics!
