Two companies of Winsome Group, Winsome Textile Industries and Winsome Yarns, have chalked out major expansion and diversification programmes.
Winsome Textile Industries will add 13,000 spindles to manufacture yarn at its existing manufacturing facility. The company will also add dyeing capacity of 10 tons per day and replace 23,040 existing spindles. Further, Himachal Pradesh Energy Development Agency (HIMURJA) has allotted the company a small hydro project near Dharamshala with total power potential of 2.50 mw.
The cost of these projects is estimated at Rs 117 crore which will be financed by term loans under TUFs of Rs 93.6 crore and internal accruals of Rs 23.4 crore.
The other group company, Winsome Yarns, will add 60,000 spindles for yarn manufacturing at its current facility. The company will also install 180 knitting machines to manufacture fully fashioned cotton sweaters. The company has also been allotted 12 small hydro projects near Ludhiana, Punjab, with total power potential of 3900 kW by Punjab Energy Development Agency. The company will soon undertake the implementation of this project.
The cost of these projects is around Rs 328.73 crore, which is proposed to be financed by term loans of Rs 269.75 crore under TUFs and internal accruals of Rs 58.98 crore.
