Man Industries offers LSAW line pipes

Man Industries offers Longitudinal Submerged Arc Welded (LSAW)
line pipes to meet the growing demand of high-pressure cross-country pipelines.
The company has recently bagged orders worth Rs 600 crore from companies in USA
and Nigeria. Through this order the company has entered the US market. Man is
already executing various major contracts for manufacture and supply of line
pipes and coating systems to clients in India and abroad, which include
Reliance, GAIL, IOCL, BHEL etc. The company is planning to invest Rs 100 crore
to expand it production capacity
The LSAW line pipes are manufactured in a diameter range from 16 in. to 60 in.
in strict conformance to general and customised specification of clients of
sectors such as oil and gas, petrochemicals, fertilisers and dredging.
S. Roy, Chief Executive, Projects, said, "The modern facility at Man Industries
enables the company to supply quality and flawless steel pipes." The present
production capacity is 500,000 tonnes through its plants in Pithampur in Madhya
Pradesh and Anjar. The two new manufacturing facilities are likely to add
another 175,000 tonnes to the existing capacity.
The company has also applied for tenders worth Rs 2,500 crore in various stages
in USA and Latin America. The current order book of the company is worth Rs
1,700 crore. The company is also focusing on Australian, Malaysian and West
Asian markets for upcoming tenders.
