Delhi plans more hospitals

Delhi government will improve the ratio of beds in hospitals and strengthen existing medical facilities. Directorate of Health, government of NCT, Delhi, has proposals to set up new hospitals and increase the number of beds.
New hospital projects at Tughlakabad, Badarpur, Ambedkar Nagar, Hastal and Keshav Puram/Lawrence Road are in the pipeline. For some of these projects planning is under process with PWD and health department. Demand for land has been made to DDA.
Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit mentioned that a 200-bed hospital would also be constructed at Hastsal for which land has been allotted. Apart from this, a 100-bed hospital at Baprola and a dispensary at Bindapur Pocket-III would come up to provide better healthcare to residents of west Delhi.
She further said that expansion of the existing hospital from 100-bed to 200-bed at MBH Poothkurd, LBS Hospital Khichripur, RTRM Zaffarpur, and expansion of a 100-bed hospital at Raghubir Nagar to 250-bed hospital is in process.
