BHEL has expressed apprehension that it might not be able to commission the unit 3 of the Punjab State Electricity Board's Lehra Mohabbat-II thermal power project during the 10th Plan period as per schedule.
Meanwhile, BHEL has assured the power ministry that it would be able to commission this capacity by June, if not during the 10th Plan period. However, PSEB is apprehensive about BHEL's ability to stick to the new completion schedule, considering the slow pace of its implementation work on the project.
