Ascendas India to set up IT parks

Ascendas India, in a joint venture with Maharashtra Airport Development Company Ltd, will commence work on building an IT park at MIHAN in Nagpur by end-June 2007. The park, spread over 63 acres of land, will be implemented in six phases.
Ascendas and MADC will each hold 89 per cent and 11 per cent equity, respectively, in the IT park. Ascendas expects the park to be ready by December 2008.
Ascendas India also plans to develop an international tech park at Hinjewadi, Pune, in joint venture with Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation. The IT park would be spread over 25 acres of land and will be implemented in five phases. The park is scheduled to complete by mid-2008.
