Praj Industries Ltd, which offers solutions for distillery and brewery wastewater treatment and utilisation, and Aker Kvaerner, the global provider of engineering and construction services, have finalised an agreement to form a joint venture company in Europe. The two companies will hold 60 per cent and 40 per cent, respectively, in the new company that will be called BioCnergy Europe B.V.
The JV will provide the technology package, engineering services, equipment and systems, project management services, construction and erection services, and commissioning, as well as turnkey biofuel plant. BioCnergy will address both the ethanol and biodiesel opportunities in Europe.
