The Madhya Pradesh Road Development Corporation has awarded construction work of interstate road Chandpur-Alirajpur-Kushi-Badwani passing through Madhya Pradesh, measuring nearly 100 km connecting Maharashtra to Gujarat, to K.T. Developers Pvt. Ltd, Indore, on BOT basis.
The project, entailing Rs 63.2 crore, is expected to complete by January 2009. MPRDC has prepared a project report keeping in view the requirements for the next 25 years. The corporation has contributed Rs 24.11 crore whereas the Centre and the state have granted Rs 12.64 crore and Rs 11.56 crore respectively.
Private investors can recover their capital and profit by levying toll tax during the concession period of 25 years.
