Rajasthan-based Navratan Pipe & Profile Ltd plans to venture into the manufacturing of API pipes. The pipes are being used in the oil and gas sectors.
"API pipe manufacturing will take around 6 to 8 months time as certain licenses or permissions are required," says Anil Garg, Vice President. The company manufactures black steel pipes. It also manufactures cold rolled forming sections for various applications like Z-perlins, guard rails, scaffolding pipes, deck sheets.
Including black steel pipes and cold rolled forming sections, the manufacturing capacity of the company is around 70,000 metric tonnes per annum. Started in May 2006, with an investment of Rs 10 crore, the manufacturing unit is at Khuskhera, Rajasthan. The brand for the company's pipe is Navratan.
