Nissin Brakes India Pvt. Ltd, a 50:50 joint venture between Nissin Kogyo Co. Ltd, Japan, and Nissin R&D Asia Company Ltd, has laid the foundation stone of a disc brake manufacturing facility in Rajasthan.
Rajasthan State Industrial Development & Investment Corporation has allotted 121,410 sq. m of land at  RIICO Industrial Area, Majrakath Neemrana-Phase III, for setting up the project.
The facility will come up in phases with a total investment of Rs 240 crore. Phase-I will cost around Rs 62 crore.
The facility will manufacture disc brakes of front and rear gear for two- and four-wheelers.
Last year RIICO signed an MoU with JETRO (Japanese External Trade Organisation) for Japanese investments in Neemrana, mostly in the small and medium auto components sector.
