A multi-storey flyover in Pune will soon come up at Nashik
Phata chowk on Pune-Mumbai highway. This flyover will be first of its kind and
will help reduce congestion in the area. The Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal
Corporation will develop the flyover at an estimated cost of Rs 65 crore.
A bridge across Pavana river and railway tracks will also be constructed as part
of the flyover. Nashik Phata chowk is a junction for Pune-Mumbai and Pune-Nashik
highways, which is heavily congested. A flyover here would provide a non-stop
drive on the highway between Dapodi and Nigdi.
Prequalification of tenders is under way. The flyover will complete in the next
three years.
