Ashoka-IDFC wins highway project

The National Highways Authority of India has awarded the contract for four-laning of the 80-km Wainganga bridge section of the Chhattisgarh-Maharashtra border project to Ashoka-IDFC consortium. The project will be built on BOT basis for a concession period of 20 years including 30 months of construction time. The project, NHDP Phase-III, is estimated to cost Rs 424 crore.
NHAI has signed a concession agreement with Ashoka Highways (Bhandara) Ltd, a special purpose vehicle formed by the consortium, to execute the project.
