Rama Newsprint plans expansion

The Gujarat-based Rama Newsprint and Papers Ltd is planning to increase the
capacity of its writing paper and printing paper manufacturing unit at
Barbhodhan village in Surat district of Gujarat from 7,500 tpm to 13,500 tpm.
The company will increase the production capacity out of the profits of writing
papers sold and no fresh investment will be made.
The company has two machines, each capable of producing 6,000 tonnes of paper
per month, and the proposed expansion will be done in one of the machines
(writing and printing). Work is slated to start from October 1.
RNPL is one of the country's largest private sector newsprint and printing and
writing paper manufacturing companies at a single location spread over 450 acres
of land.
