Japanese company to set up die casting unit

Ahresty of Japan is setting up an aluminium die casting unit in India. With many Japanese automakers operating in this country, Ahresty plans to capture a major chunk of the aluminium die casting market. According to the company, by setting up a unit in India it can enhance its ability to respond flexibly to onsite production by Japanese auto manufacturers. Also, the proposed plant will help the company to expand its die casting business in Asian markets.
The company is planning to set up 10,000 tpa capacity aluminium die casting unit in Rewari district, Haryana, with an investment of Rs 1 billion. The proposed unit will be set up on six hectares of land. The company is planning to start production in the autumn of 2008.
