Gujarat Anjan to set up grinding unit



Gujarat Anjan Cement Ltd is setting up a three million tpa grinding plant at Sangol village, Thasara taluka, Kheda district, Gujarat, ProjectsToday reports. The plant will be set up close to the Wanakbori thermal power station of Gujarat State Electricity Corporation Ltd. The land required for the proposed grinding unit is 28.17 hectares. The company is also planning to set up a 20-mw lignite-based captive power plant. The total cost of the project is Rs 350 crore.
The company is also setting up a 1.2-million tpa cement unit at Abdasha in Kutch district, Gujarat, at an estimated cost of Rs 4 billion. The company already has a limestone mine.
GACL was originally promoted by Sumaru group of Ahmedabad and was subsequently taken over by the Jaypee group, the fourth largest cement producer in the country.
