Rourkela-based Shiva Cement Ltd is expanding the capacity of its cement plant at Telighana in Sundargarh district of Orissa with an investment of Rs 225 crore.The proposed expansion will be implemented in two phases. In phase-I, the capacity will be increased from 0.13 million tpa to 0.60 million tpa and in phase-II the capacity will be further raised to 2.60 million tpa. Work on phase-I is under way and is scheduled for completion by March 2009.
A company spokesperson told ProjectsToday that phase-II will be taken up after obtaining additional mining lease and statutory approvals. Delhi-based Afcon Consultant is the consultant.
