The detailed project report for Guwahati Metropolitan Development Authority's bridge project in Assam is expected to be ready by August.
Earlier, the company had plans to construct a foot over-bridge over Brahmaputra river connecting the north and south banks in Assam, but the project was abandoned. Company officials, however, refused to disclose the reason for shelving the project.
The new bridge will now be developed to connect north and south Guwahati. RITES is the consultant for the project. Currently DPR is underway and is expected to be ready by August 2008.
