Survey work for Chhattisgarh State Renewable Energy Development Agency's 15-mw Kolab hydel-based power unit I on Kolab river in Bastar district is under way. The project will cost Rs 70-80 crore.
The company has signed an agreement with Pattu Power Projects Pvt. Ltd, Hyderabad, to develop the project on build-own-operate basis. Katya Power Projects, also of Hyderabad, has been appointed consultant.
The DPR is likely to be completed by July and work on the project is likely to commence by 2009 with completion scheduled for early 2011.
